2012 PT Readers' Choice Game of the Year nominations (No more nominations! Voting begins today)

This is the thread to nominate a GOTY. I'll keep the list tidy by pruning out any games that didn't come out in 2012, and I'll update the OP to reflect nominations. Nominees will be voted on by PT readers in a poll starting 11 December.

• One nomination per person, please!
• iOS and Android both fly.
• Games that aren't PT-ish will be excised. I'll interpret this fairly broadly but no "Where's My Water", okay?
• Just nominations in this thread please - if you want to talk about the relative quality of any of the games below, take it to a different thread.
• No need for repeat nominations - if you see that the game you came here to nominate is already listed, don't worry about seconding it or anything like that.

New rule, 21 November - No expansion packs or DLC.

I've edited this comment. I nominated Total War Battles: Shogun but I now see that Owen didn't like it much. My experience with it was different, I was more tolerant of the game mechanics and avoid the IAPs completely. If my nomination isn't good enough then my second pick is Autumn Dynasty.

I would love to nominate Punch Quest because that's the iOS game I have played more than any other this year and its really awesome. Simple premise (punch stuff) but tons of fun.

If that isn't PT-ish enough I would like to nominate my second most played game which is the misanthropic doomsday simulator Plague Inc.

I think that games who have improved or updated this year should also get a chance to be nominated. That would include IAP's or major updates. But that is back to @owen to decide.

I can honestly say up until a few weeks ago I would easily have nominated Ascension storm of souls, but this has now been completely surpassed by Battle Academy. This game has taken over my life recently and I am absolutely in love with both the single and multiplayer. Absolutely wonderful game with an insane amount of content.

Many good choices already picked. I will like to add 2 games that also represent well what turn based tactical games are. One is a classic and another is based off a classic.

For iOS and Android: Mecho Wars. A Advance Wars clone in space.
For the iOS, another classic, with a very good story and job system: Final Fantasy Tactics

I would rather see these in a separate category for "Expansion of the Year" or "New Content of the Year." That would be more fair to the new games that were released. IIRC, gaming magazines like The Dungeon used to do this many years ago.
