Well I decided to download this based on raving reviews and I am pleasantly surprised, it's really a lot of fun so far! 6/5 sounds about right!

I'd be careful listening to @TheDukester's advice. After hearing him talk about W.E.L.D.E.R., I finally gave the game a chance over the Christmas break. Not sure how many hours (or was it days?) I lost to that game, but wow. Really fun word game. Finally had to un-install it temporarily to keep my fingers from obsessively opening and reopening the app to find just one more word. :-)

I was very disappointed by this. There are a lot of bad Dominion rip-offs out there but this is one of the worst I have played. Its just so bland and lacking in variety.
I'm not that heavily into Penny Arcade so I have no clue who most of these characters are.
Also is there doesn't seem to be a way to tell who is winning.

The first couple of games, I was thinking it was kind of blah... But once I got more comfortable with the static deck, it started getting pretty good! Considering this is just the vanilla version, I'd say it's a pretty good game.

I just wish some else (some actual game designers and not that bunch of retarded monkeys that is goko) would have the rights to Dominion so we could have an official app for iOS. If that were to happen shameless and bad clones like this wouldn't get any sales.

PA might be a lot of things, but a "clone" is certainly not one of them.

Unless our new definition of "clone" means "uses, vaguely, some of the same mechanics." Which would make The Campaign for North Africa a clone of Risk.

I know you like this game but you gotta admit that it is more than just "inspired" by Dominion. Now there is nothing wrong with ripping off Dominion, Ascension did it and I enjoy playing Ascension every once in a while because its a decent clone. Its not as balanced or well thought out as Dominion but its fun to play a match or two. PA is just a bland, boring and unbalanced imo. I would never play this game irl unless all my Dominion cards got destroyed in a fire or something because this game got nothing over Dominion.

Horseshit. I don't "gotta admit" anything.

And I'll add that probably the most annoying thing in our little hobby since 2007 is the all-too-common belief amongst its more rabid fans that Dominion somehow invented gaming. Newsflash: there's not a single aspect of Dominion that hadn't been in use for many, many years in other games. Dominion just managed to combine those aspects into an incredibly dry, boring package of theme-free number-crunching. The only game that feels more like playing a spreadsheet is Race for the Galaxy.

I don't care that you don't like PA; that means nothing to me. But you need to stop with this "clone" nonsense, or else people are going to start pointing out that discarding to make a better hand is a mechanic that's been around for at least 500 years.

Finally ... you realize this is sort of a joke thread, right? Or at least it was. The "6/5" rating? Everyone trash-talking each other? The digression into talking about other games? It all seems like light-hearted banter to me. But leave it to a Dominion fan to come into a fun thread and get all serious.
